| The Concerto in C minor BWV 1062 for Piano and String Orchestra that we have published derives from the 1736 transcription made by Bach himself for 2 Harpsichords and orchestra, from the previous Concerto in D minor BWV 1043 for 2 solo Violins, Strings and continuo , composed between 1718 and 1720. Our version is based on Bach’s most recent transcription where we have transferred the parts of the two harpsichords to the solo piano. As I was saying, the Orchestra remained almost the same as did the key of C minor and the three movements.
